You are buying a set of five, custom hand tied, tapered Fly Fishing Leaders. These leaders are made from 100% DuPont Fluorocarbon, a fantastic material that has a refractive index very close to that of water, making it nearly invisible when submerged. They have a perfection loop on the butt end for easy attachment to your fly line, and taper in five sections to the fine but tough tippet section.
I personally tie these leaders when you order them, from fresh stock fluorocarbon!
Some ebay sellers are now offering leaders “Direct from the manufacturer”, but they don’t tell you who the manufacturer is. The DuPont Fluorocarbon material in my leaders is made in the USA.  Since I personally tie all the leaders I sell, they are definitely made in the USA. Don’t settle for an off brand leader “Direct from the manufacturer”, who may be somewhere you have never heard of. I only tie the best, and don’t plan on changing.  Also, others are now selling their leaders as fluoro blah blah blah…..    . If it doesn’t say “100% fluorocarbon”  in the description, it probably isn’t. Don’t be fooled by lesser quality.

All leaders in a set
must be the same length & weight.
The weights you have to choose from are 1X (12lb),  2X (10lb), 3X (8lb), 4X (6lb), 5X (4lb), or 6X (2.5lb).
The lengths I tie are 7.5′, 9′, 10′, and 12′.
So if you order, for example, your favorite leader, and it is a 9′ 5X, your $12.25 purchase will get you a set of five leaders of that length and weight.
If you purchase a second $12.25 set of leaders at the same time, that set can be a different length and weight from the first set.
The decision of length and weight
is yours to be made. I tie leaders as they are ordered, so I can always get you what you want.

I can’t ship your leaders until you tell me what you want. Buyers have been having trouble with this concept recently. There is a “Note” area on the lower left of the “Confirm Payment” page if you pay with Paypal where you can tell me the length and X size. If you miss or cannot find it, just send me a separate email.
You can choose the size to fit your needs whether you fish clear water for Trout, or the Bonefish Flats of The Keys. Please refer to the weight of the leaders by the X sizes listed above.
These leaders are hand tied by Chris Mihulka, a professional fly tier with 50 years experience, and a flyfishing products designer for several large fishing companies. They are top quality, and will help that special someone (or yourself) improve their catch.
There is a one time shipping and handling charge of $1.50. Buy more that one set and still only pay $1.50 total for all the shipping. Some companies are now selling factory made fluorocarbon leaders for $8.95 each, so here is your chance to get the best for a lot less money.
The invisibility of Fluorocarbon solves the problem of spooking leader shy fish in even the hardest fished waters. Try them on a Spring Creek and you will never go back to monofilament!
